Sometimes when you go to places that are also know for their bar, it’s hard to find something paleo on the menu , and even harder to find something paleo that’s actually delicious.
Apparently, this was not the case at Marlow’s Tavern! I’ve been on a huge salad kick recently because last week I felt like I just ate MEAT MEAT MEAT. My body was screaming for some good veggies, so my eyes pretty much headed straight to the salad section (which isn’t super common). I saw this…
On the Menu
Seared Ahi Tuna Salad, which consisted of field greens, napa cabbage, avocado, cucumber, tomato, crispy wonton, carrots, fried wontons, scallion and soy ginger dressing.
It sounded pretty good, but I knew I wanted to make a bit of modifications.
My (more) Paleo Modifications
- No fried Wontons
- Sweet Herb Dressing instead of Soy Ginger Dressing (The waitress brought both, and I did try the latter – if you don’t mind Soy I do recommend it because it was pretty delicious!)
That’s it! OMG IT WAS SO GOOD! I can’t even. My ONLY complaint was that the avocado wasn’t super duper fresh. But I mean… I emptied the plate, so it obviously didn’t even matter to me!
You liked that didn't you... well here's more!
Yum! Sounds and looks really good! It’s often so hard to find things to eat at many restaurants. Thanks for the inspiration!
Thanks for stopping by! I agree – sometimes it’s though to eat healthy out! That’s why I thought this blog would be a great idea :)
Did you see the chicken stack option? Curious as to what your thoughts on that were…
I have! Not yet tried it but seen a friend have it and wow it is a LOT of food! Have you tried it?
