You’ve probably always heard of how great salmon is for you. It’s true! Salmon is a great source of the “good” cholesterol, omega-3 fatty acids. It’s good for metabolism, cardiovascular health, and brain functions! But my favorite thing about salmon is that it is also delicious – and really easy to make! Here’s an easy recipe – Salmon with Lemon and Basil!
- 1 salmon fillet ( ~6-8 oz)
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons butter/ghee
- 1 lemon
Cut the lemon in to wedges. I like to cut the middle section in to thin slices for garnish purposes too.
In a bowl, mix together garlic powder, basil, and salt.
Rub the mix on to the Salmon evenly.
In a skillet, heat butter or ghee on medium heat.
Add Salmon to skillet for about 5 minutes.
Flip it to the other side and cook for another 5 minutes or until cooked thoroughly. (Salmon is done when it flakes easily with a fork.)
Squeeze 2 lemon wedges over the salmon and turn off the heat.
Garnish the salmon with lemon slices if you want!
