Hot & Cold Buffet in Snellville, GA - What We Ate + My Review

Published: Oct 14, 2026 by Tina Tsai · This post may contain affiliate links · Leave a Comment

If you're in the mood to eat A LOT of food, Hot & Cold Buffet in Snellville, Georgia might need to be on your list. 😂 This is one of those huge all-you-can-eat buffets where you can grab a plate of BBQ ribs, go back for crab legs and seafood, make another trip for Asian dishes, and then somehow still end up at the hibachi station for noodles and shrimp.

Hot & Cold Buffet has also recently been renovated and updated, so if you haven't been in a while, it may look pretty different from what you remember!

I had actually heard mixed things about this buffet in the past, so I wasn't totally sure what to expect. But after the renovations and updates, we decided to check it out and if you're looking for somewhere casual where you can get a huge variety of food and basically stuff yourself silly, this is exactly that kind of place. 😆

Hot & Cold Buffet in Snellville

Hot & Cold Buffet is an all-you-can-eat buffet located in Snellville, Georgia.

There is a HUGE selection of food here. You'll find a mix of Chinese and Asian dishes, seafood, American favorites, sushi, desserts, and a hibachi station where you can choose your own meats, seafood, noodles, and vegetables to have cooked for you.

We went for dinner, which is when they bring out some of the bigger-ticket seafood items like unlimited crab legs.

Lunch is cheaper, so if you mainly want a big buffet with plenty of choices, lunch can be the better deal. But if you're coming specifically for crab legs and the larger dinner selection, I would definitely go for dinner.

What's on the Buffet?

There is honestly SO MUCH food.

We started out with BBQ chicken and ribs, and then I walked around trying to see everything else they had before deciding what I actually wanted on my plate - which is always the hardest part at a buffet. 😂

Some of the things we saw included:

  • BBQ ribs
  • BBQ chicken
  • Steak bites
  • Crab legs
  • Seafood boil
  • Crawfish
  • Fish
  • Asian-style ribs
  • Shrimp
  • Chinese and Asian hot dishes
  • Noodles and rice
  • Sushi
  • Salads and cold dishes
  • Desserts

And that's not even everything.

The exact dishes can change, of course, but there was definitely enough variety that everyone should be able to find something.

The Seafood

If you're a seafood person, dinner is probably when you'll want to visit.

The big draw is the unlimited crab legs, but there were several other seafood options too, including crawfish, shrimp, fish, and a seafood boil (which I was too busy eating and forgot to take a picture of! But it's in the video.)

And yes, this is exactly the kind of buffet where you look down halfway through dinner and realize your table has somehow accumulated a giant pile of crab shells. 😂

If you're deciding between lunch and dinner, I think this is the biggest factor. Lunch costs less, but dinner gives you access to more of the seafood and premium items.

So if crab legs are the whole reason you're going... go at dinner!

Don't Skip the Hibachi Station

There is also a hibachi station included with the buffet.

You can choose your ingredients and have them cooked fresh for you, which is nice when you've already made several rounds through the prepared buffet.

We did meat, shrimp, and noodles, and it's also an easy option if you want to customize exactly what goes on your plate.

Honestly, at this point we absolutely did NOT need more food.

Did that stop us?

Obviously not. 😂

What Did We Think?

Hot & Cold Buffet is not somewhere I'd go expecting a fancy dining experience.

This is somewhere I would go when I'm hungry, want a ridiculous number of choices, and feel like eating a little bit of EVERYTHING.

And sometimes that's exactly what you want!

@ohsnapletseat

SO much food at Hot and Cold Buffet 😍 We had ribs, BBQ chicken, steak bites, seafood boil with crab legs, Asian-style ribs, fish, crawfish, sushi, and then finished it off at the hibachi station with meat, shrimp, and noodles. Definitely one of those places where you need to show up hungry! 😋 #HotAndColdBuffet #BuffetFood #SeafoodBuffet #Hibachi #AtlantaFoodie

I know this restaurant has had mixed reviews over the years, but it has been renovated and updated since then, and our experience was better than I expected.

The dining area looked updated, there was a huge variety of food to choose from, and we definitely did not leave hungry.

Would I come here specifically when I want to sit down and have the absolute best version of one particular Chinese dish? Probably not - I'd go to a restaurant specializing in that dish.

But would I come here when someone says, "I want crab legs... but also ribs... and hibachi... and shrimp... and maybe some noodles..."?

YES. 😂

That's really where a buffet like this shines.

Lunch vs. Dinner

If you're trying to decide when to go, here's the easiest way I'd look at it:

Go for lunch if: You want the buffet experience for a lower price and don't care as much about having every seafood option.

Go for dinner if: You want the bigger selection, especially unlimited crab legs and some of the additional seafood and dinner items.

Personally, if I were making a special trip specifically because I wanted to EAT, I'd do dinner.

Come hungry. Seriously. 😂

Buffet selections, prices, and hours can change, so I recommend checking with the restaurant for the latest information before heading over.
