A Cookbook Review: The Paleo Foodie

Published: Jul 21, 2014 · Modified: Aug 24, 2024 by Tina Tsai · This post may contain affiliate links · Leave a Comment

Cookbook Review Time!!  This one's been sitting on my shelf for a while and finally, I have a chance to review it.  It's The Paleo Foodie Cookbook by my friend, Arsy Vartanian from Rubies and Radishes!  Heard of Arsy?  Probably because she also wrote the awesome cookbook:  The Paleo Slow Cooker!

In The Paleo Foodie Cookbook, Arsy stats out by introducing the various types of Paleo diet along with cooking tips and tricks including a tid on fats and oils that helps clear up what are the best fats and oils to cook with, for salads, and which ones to avoid.

After this, there's about 120 amazing paleo recipes including snacks/appetizers, main dishes, salads, soups/stews, side dishes and more!

Some favorites are:

  • Salmon Ceviche with Mango and Cucumber
  • Smoked Salmon Nori Wraps with Wasabi Mayo
  • Fruit Stuffed Chicken
  • Grilled Lamb Chops with Mint Pesto
  • Panfried Halibut with Avocado Salsa
  • Thai Coconut Curried Mussels
  • Crab, Papaya and Cucumber Salad
  • Flank Steak with Cilantro Sauce

How amazing do these sound?  I absolutely love the variety of recipes found in this cookbook - everything from Tandoori chicken to Thai Curry to Jamaican Jerk Pork Chops!  Time to drool:

Salmon Ceviche with Mango and Cucumber
Salmon Ceviche with Mango and Cucumber
Panfried Halibut with Avocado Salsa
Panfried Halibut with Avocado Salsa

So basically, long story short... if you're in the market for a new paleo cookbook (or just any yummy cookbook in general), I highly recommend The Paleo Foodie Cookbook.

Note:
I received a copy of The Paleo Foodie cookbook in exchange for this review.
However, all opinions are my own!
