If you're looking for a spot in downtown Roswell where you can order sushi, ramen, and shareable small plates all in the same meal, Zest is a fun one to put on your list.

Jump to:
  • 1) Tabletop tenderloin (my personal favorite)
  • 2) Ramen with house-made broth + pork belly
  • 3) Korean Cheesesteak (bulgogi-style)
  • 4) Firecracker Roll (spicy)
  • 5) Rainbow Roll (fresh and refreshing)
  • Bonus: Fresh oysters
  • My quick ordering guide (first-timer friendly)
  • Final thoughts
  • Where is Zest?

Zest is located right on Canton Street and the menu is a little bit of everything - sushi rolls, oysters, ramen, and Asian-inspired small plates that are easy to share if you're with friends (or if you just want to try a bunch of things).

Below are some tasty dishes to try!

BTW rather watch a video of everything? Here's my tiktok video:

Checked out Zest in Roswell the other day and it was such a tasty, fun experience! 😋 We had sushi, Korean cheesesteak, ramen, and omg - the sizzling tabletop tenderloins 🔥 were my absolute FAVE. If you're in the area, definitely check it out! 🍣 Full review → Link in bio! #AtlantaEats #RoswellGA #FoodieFinds #asianfusionfood #AtlantaRestaurants

1) Tabletop tenderloin (my personal favorite)

If you only order one "wow" item, make it the tabletop tenderloin.

This one is ridiculously tender (buttery, melt-in-your-mouth) and it comes with a bright, herby green sauce that's so good you'll start wishing you could put it on everything. It's the kind of dish that disappears fast - especially if you're sharing.

Photo placement: this is a perfect "hero" photo near the top of the post.

2) Ramen with house-made broth + pork belly

Zest has ramen with a house-made broth, and it's perfect Roswell weather food when it's chilly out.

The broth is lighter than a super rich tonkotsu style, but still flavorful - and the pork belly is the star (tender, rich, and satisfying). If you're a noodle soup person, this one is worth ordering.

Photo placement: show the full bowl + a pork belly close-up.

3) Korean Cheesesteak (bulgogi-style)

This is one of those "fusion but it works" dishes - a cheesesteak built with bulgogi-marinated tenderloin, peppers, onions, mushrooms, cheese, and a savory sauce on a toasted hoagie.

It's sweet-salty-savory, super filling, and honestly makes a great lunch order too (especially if you're craving something hearty but not in the mood for sushi).

Photo placement: cross-section shot + fries.

4) Firecracker Roll (spicy)

If you like sushi with a kick, the Firecracker Roll is one of the best "signature" style rolls on the menu.

It's topped with fresh tuna and has spicy elements (spicy sesame oil, soy glaze, etc.), so you get that combo of fresh + spicy + saucy in every bite.

Heat level note: it's not "destroy your life" spicy, but it definitely has a kick.

Photo placement: close-up of the top + sauce.

5) Rainbow Roll (fresh and refreshing)

If you want something lighter and more classic, go for the Rainbow Roll. It's topped with multiple types of fish and doesn't rely on heavy sauce, so it tastes extra fresh.

This is the roll I'd recommend for anyone who loves sashimi-style flavors and wants something clean and refreshing alongside small plates.

Photo placement: overhead shot to show the fish variety.

Bonus: Fresh oysters

Zest also has a raw bar vibe, and the oysters are a fun add-on if you're into seafood. Order a few to start the table, squeeze some citrus, and you're set.

My quick ordering guide (first-timer friendly)

If you want…

  • One "must order" small plate: tabletop tenderloin
  • Comfort food: ramen with pork belly
  • Hearty handheld: Korean cheesesteak
  • Spicy sushi: Firecracker roll
  • Fresh sushi: Rainbow roll
  • Seafood starter: oysters

Final thoughts

Zest is a great pick when you want a meal that feels a little "choose your own adventure" - sushi, ramen, small plates, raw bar… it's all on the table. If you're going with friends, it's especially fun because you can mix a few rolls with one or two shareables and basically build your own tasting menu.
