Atmosphere, Seating & Experience

One thing I really liked about the Dunwoody location is how spacious the dining room feels. The layout never felt cramped, even with lots of tables grilling at the same time.

All of the seating is arranged in booths, and each booth sits right next to the conveyor belt, so grabbing banchan or sides is super easy without getting up or flagging someone down. It keeps everything feeling casual, efficient, and fun - especially when the belt is full of freshly rotated plates.

It's lively without feeling chaotic, which makes it easy to settle in and enjoy the experience.

Conveyor Belt + Tabletop Train Delivery

In addition to the regular conveyor belt with banchan and sides, Stone Age also delivers meats straight from the kitchen using a tabletop train system.

When you order meats, they arrive on a little train that runs along an upper track and stops directly at your booth - no waiting for servers to weave through the dining room. It's efficient, fun to watch, and honestly adds to the whole experience.

Between:

  • The lower conveyor belt with banchan and sides and sweets
  • The upper train delivering fresh meats straight to your table

Everything feels smooth, interactive, and surprisingly well-organized for an all-you-can-eat spot. It's one of those little touches that makes the meal feel more memorable - especially if it's your first time there.

Tabletop Sauces & Dipping Options

Another detail I appreciated is that each table comes stocked with multiple dipping sauces, so you can customize every bite.

The sauce setup included:

  • Ssamjang - savory, slightly spicy, and perfect with grilled meats
  • Sesame oil + salt - simple but classic, especially for beef
  • Yum yum sauce - creamy and a little sweet
  • Plus a few other sauces depending on the table setup

Having the sauces right at the table makes it easy to mix and match flavors without waiting or asking for extras. Between the meats, banchan, and sauces, you can really build your own perfect bites throughout the meal.

All-You-Can-Eat KBBQ Meats We Ordered

Once you sit down, you order meats continuously until you're full - or until you admit defeat.

Here's what we tried:

  • New York Strip - juicy, beefy, and perfect for grilling
  • Stone Age Steak - their signature cut, rich and satisfying
  • Bulgogi - sweet, savory, and super easy to eat too much of
  • Spicy Pork Belly - flavorful with a nice kick
  • Filet Mignon - tender and surprisingly indulgent for AYCE (our FAVE here!)
  • LA Galbi Short Ribs - always a classic, marinated and grilled to perfection
  • Calamari - a fun non meaty option that grills up nicely

By the end… we were very full 😂

Conveyor Belt Banchan (Also All You Can Eat!)

One of the standout features at Stone Age is the conveyor belt, which continuously circulates small plates of Korean side dishes.

You can grab what you want, when you want - no waiting.

Some of the banchan we saw (and ate):

  • Kimchi
  • Tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes)
  • Japchae (sweet potato glass noodles)
  • Gimbap
  • Various pickled veggies and sides

It's fun, interactive, and honestly a little dangerous because you keep thinking, "Oh, just one more plate…"

Is Stone Age Korean Steakhouse Worth It?

If you're hungry and want variety, Stone Age is absolutely worth it.

Why it works:

  • Huge selection of meats
  • Unlimited banchan and conveyor belt sides
  • Great for groups with different preferences

Good to know:

  • You'll probably overeat
  • Pace yourself - especially with the conveyor belt
  • Come hungry

Final Thoughts

Between the AYCE meats, conveyor belt banchan, and lively atmosphere, Stone Age Korean Steakhouse in Dunwoody is a solid choice for Korean BBQ lovers in Atlanta.

We ate way too much… and would still go back again 😅🥩🔥
