Keto Chocolate Mousse with Whipped Cream – Sometimes keto desserts can be a disappointment when it comes to textures. Cakes and brownies are hard to get just right. This mousse will NOT let you down. It’s creamy, not too heavy, and sweetened perfectly. I’ve been playing around with desserts for Valentine’s day that involve chocolate and no actual baking. This one was the winner. It takes less than 10 minutes to throw together. I prefer Lilly’s chocolate chips in this recipe, but it tastes just fine if you use a dark chocolate bar that has been finely chopped.
Ingredients
- ¼ cup cocoa powder
- ¾ cup whipping cream
- 2 ounces softened cream cheese
- ¼ cup swerve, or keto friendly sweetener of your choice
- 2 tablespoons Lilly’s chocolate chips, or any dark chocolate without sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- Pinch of salt
Whipped Cream:
- 1 cup whipping cream
- 2 tablespoons swerve, or any keto friendly sweetener
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions
Put all of the ingredients expect chocolate chips into your mixer.
Place the chocolate chips into a heat safe bowl and microwave for 30 seconds until melted. Scrape the melted chocolate out of the bowl and into the mixer.
Beat all the ingredients in the mixer on medium for 1-3 minutes.
Scrape the sides down so all the cocoa gets incorporated and whip an additional 30 seconds. Scoop your mousse into individual bowls and place in the fridge until the whipped cream is done.
Whipped cream:
Place all the ingredients in the stand mixer bowl and put it on low. Once your cream starts to thicken, turn the speed up to medium until your whipped cream has soft peaks.
Spoon your whipped cream over the mousse. I like to grate some chocolate to sprinkle on top to make it look extra special. Enjoy!
