We stopped by the Midtown location and ordered two classic Vietnamese noodle dishes: the Pho Combo with rare beef, brisket, and meatballs, and the Grilled Pork Vermicelli Noodles.

One was warm, comforting, and broth-based, while the other was fresh, savory, and full of different textures!

About Anh's Kitchen

Anh's Kitchen was founded in 2015 by Mr. and Mrs. Nguyen, who wanted to share Vietnamese food and culture with Atlanta. The restaurant now has locations in Midtown, Downtown Atlanta, and Toco Hills.

The Midtown location is right on Peachtree Street, close to the Fox Theatre and several other Midtown attractions. It is also open late most nights, making it a convenient option for dinner or late-night Vietnamese food in the city.

The menu includes appetizers, pho, banh mi sandwiches, vermicelli noodles, rice plates, curries, clay pot dishes, and more.

What We Ordered

For this visit, we ordered:

  • Pho Combo
  • Grilled Pork Vermicelli Noodles

These are two great options if one person wants a hot bowl of noodle soup while the other is craving something a little fresher and lighter.

Pho Combo

The Pho Combo comes with rare beef, brisket, and meatballs served over rice noodles in a savory pho broth. It is also served with basil, bean sprouts, jalapeños, and lime on the side.

Pho is always such a comforting meal, and the combination version is a good choice when you want to try several different types of beef in one bowl.

The rare beef cooks gently in the hot broth, while the brisket and meatballs add different textures and make the bowl feel extra hearty. You can then customize everything with the fresh garnishes depending on how you like your pho.

Add bean sprouts for crunch, basil for freshness, jalapeños for heat, and a squeeze of lime to brighten up the broth.

This was definitely the warmer and cozier of the two dishes we ordered!

Grilled Pork Vermicelli Noodles

The Grilled Pork Vermicelli Noodles come with grilled pork served over thin rice noodles with lettuce, cucumber, carrots, peanuts, fried shallots, and an egg roll. Fish sauce is served on the side.

Vietnamese vermicelli bowls are one of my favorite options when I want something refreshing but still filling.

The grilled pork adds the main savory element, while the lettuce, cucumber, and carrots keep the bowl fresh. Peanuts and fried shallots add crunch, and the crispy egg roll makes it feel like a complete meal rather than just a noodle salad.

Pour the fish sauce over the noodles and mix everything together so that the sauce coats the noodles, vegetables, and pork.

There are so many different textures in every bite: soft noodles, grilled meat, crisp vegetables, crunchy peanuts and shallots, and the fried egg roll.

Pho or Vermicelli?

Choosing between these two really depends on what you are craving.

The Pho Combo is the better pick when you want something hot, comforting, and broth-based. It is especially satisfying on a cold or rainy day.

The Grilled Pork Vermicelli Noodles are a great choice when you want something fresh and flavorful that still feels like a full meal. I especially love vermicelli bowls during warmer weather because the noodles and vegetables feel much lighter than soup.

Honestly, ordering one of each worked out perfectly because we got to enjoy two very different Vietnamese noodle dishes!

Final Thoughts

Anh's Kitchen is a convenient Vietnamese restaurant to check out if you are looking for pho, vermicelli noodles, banh mi, or other Vietnamese food in Midtown Atlanta.

The Pho Combo is a solid introduction to their pho because you get rare beef, brisket, and meatballs all in one bowl. For something fresher with plenty of different textures, the Grilled Pork Vermicelli Noodles are another great option.

It is also worth keeping in mind when you need a late-night meal in Midtown, especially if you are near the Fox Theatre or elsewhere along Peachtree Street.
