Harbour Restaurant in Kaohsiung – This post is about the day I ate until I almost exploded… but would’ve died completely happy.  This post is about my dinner at Harbour Restaurant in Kaohsiung’s Ju Dan mall (巨蛋). Basically, this place is a high end all-you-can-eat restaurant with what is almost an unlimited amount of choices. The awesome thing about this is that I could pick a gazillion paleo-friendly choices!

Different sections of the restaurant exists:

  • Meat
  • Vegetables
  • Seafood
  • Drinks
  • Dessert
  • Fruit
  • Salad
  • WHATEVER YOU WANT

Sorry, I’m getting excited again thinking about it.  Here’s what I got: My first plate I wanted to start with MEAT:

Harbour Restaurant: My first plate

The food here consists of steak, pork, a mussel, sausage, cauliflowers and as you can also see, there’s a beer in the background.  That’s right. The beer is included in the buffet! I decided to calm down on the meat on my second plate, and went with some seafood and veggies.

This second plate consisted of more mussels (they were good!), baby octopuses, fried fish, clam salad (in the small dish), and some grilled oyster mushroom! After this plate, I am trying to convince my tummy that it’s not even half full, because I walked by the sushi/sashimi section of the restaurant.  I come back with a Sashimi plate:

As you can see, it wasn’t only sashimi, there was also veggies, and a sea shell with a clam in it. Now, at this point, I am slowing down.  I am feeling it, but I’m still in denial.  So I go in for the kill and grab 2 plates.

This is when it started to hurt.  I still managed to fit the food in my stomach, and I kept thinking of Louis CK’s joke about how he doesn’t stop eating when he’s full… he stops when he he hates himself, and realizing that I am beyond this. I manage to devour it though.  It was a new level of full that I don’t think I’ve experienced before. All I could do was watch my brother have some dessert, which they had a dozen different Häagen-Dazs ice creams available.  Also, that glass if fresh juice (this one was watermelon) that they also have available:

By the way, just so you know, this was all for about $25.00 US DOLLARS per person!!! What a deal! I definitely 100% recommend you visit this restaurant if you are ever in the vicinity of Kaohsiung, Taiwan!

Thanks for commenting and liking! They were prime rib, some steak, and pork chops I believe... it's been weeks now - I wish I was back there!

Haha, it's something you got to get used to I guess if you're not used to seeing it in fish form, but that one was definitely 100% grilled and ready to be eaten!

Your second plate is almost entirely meat, too.

lol true.... but I guess I define meat as non-seafood.... when really seafood is ALSO meat... Maybe I should say 'land-meat' next time haha
