If you're ever at the Jusgo Supermarket food court in Duluth, there's a spot I always find myself going back to - BBQ Corner.

It's one of those no-frills Cantonese BBQ places that just hits. Simple, comforting, and consistently good - exactly what you want when you're craving roast meats over rice.

What I Ordered: 2-Meat Combo BBQ Plate

On this visit, I went with the classic 2-meat combo over rice:

  • Soy Sauce Chicken (豉油雞)
  • Roasted Pig (燒肉)

This kind of plate is honestly one of my favorite comfort meals. You get a little bit of everything - juicy, flavorful meats, rice to soak up all the sauces, and some veggies on the side.

Why I Love It

I love meals like this because you're getting everything in one plate:

  • Flavorful meats
  • Rice to soak up all the sauce
  • Veggies on the side
  • A warm bowl of soup
  • And even hot tea

It's balanced, filling, and super comforting - without having to think too hard about what to order.

And It's FAST

Another big reason I love Cantonese BBQ spots like this? It's so quick.

All the meats are already roasted and hanging in the display, so when you order, they just:

  • Chop up the meats
  • Pour that delicious sauce over the rice
  • Add your veggies
  • Assemble everything together

And you've got a full, satisfying meal in minutes.

It's honestly one of the best options when you want something hot, delicious, and don't want to wait long.

A Quick Note on the Display

If you've never been to a Cantonese BBQ spot before, you'll probably notice the meats hanging in the display case - things like roasted duck, pork, and chicken.

It might be a little surprising at first if you're not used to it, but it's actually a traditional part of Cantonese BBQ.

The meats are roasted ahead of time and displayed so they stay ready to order, which is exactly why service is so fast. When you order, they just chop everything up fresh and serve it right away.

And honestly, once you taste it, it all makes sense - that roasting process is what gives the meats their flavor, texture, and that signature crispy skin.

Soy Sauce Chicken (豉油雞)

Tender, juicy, and packed with that classic savory soy-based flavor. It's simple, but when done right, it's so satisfying.

Roasted Pig (燒肉)

Crispy skin, fatty layers, and that perfect salty crunch. This is always a must-order for me when I see it on the menu.

What Comes With It

My plate came with:

  • Steamed white rice
  • Napa cabbage (this time! They switch it up sometimes)
  • A side of soup (the type of soup can change but there is always soup)

There's also complimentary hot tea you can grab for yourself while you wait.

It's one of those meals that just feels complete.

Why Food Court Cantonese BBQ Just Hits

There's something about food court Cantonese BBQ that I'll always love.

No frills, quick service, and the focus is entirely on the food. You walk up, point at what you want, and a few minutes later you've got a full plate ready to go.

It's simple, efficient, and honestly just really satisfying.

Final Thoughts

If you're in Duluth or exploring the Buford Highway area, this is definitely worth a stop - especially if you're already at Jusgo.

It's quick, affordable, and hits that comfort food craving every time.

If you love Cantonese BBQ or want an easy intro to it, this is a great place to start.
