Did you know that Kale is super healthy for you? Kale is a great source of antioxidant vitamins A, C, and K. So if you are looking for easy kale recipes, this Bacon and Kale Stir Fry recipe is what you’re looking for!
Ingredients
- 4 slices bacon, chopped
- 1 bunch of kale
- Salt, as desired
Instructions
Cut up your bacon in to smaller pieces. I literally just used a pair of scissors, and cut them in to chunks. But you can also use a knife and chop it off.
Add the pieces of bacon and cook for about 5-6 minutes or until crisp, and then remove from heat and set aside.
With the cooking pan still with that bacon grease/fat, add kale to pan.
Cook while occasionally stirring until kale is ready (when it’s bright green). Add bacon back in, and add salt to taste.
Remove from heat and serve!
Sautéed Kale Recipe
Sautéed Kale is an easy way to make some kale that is yummy and also easy! Here's how to make it.
Ingredients
- 1 Head of Kale or Bag of Kale
- 4 Slices of Bacon
- Olive Oil (optional)
- Salt, as desired
Instructions
Cut up your bacon in to some chunky pieces (or whatever size you want). I literally just used a pair of scissors, and cut them in to chunks. Some people prefer small bacon bits, but I like mine in huge chucks so I can eat big bites of kale with bacon
Depending on how much bacon you are using vs. amount of Kale, make a decision if you want to add olive oil or not! If you do, heat the oil over medium-high heat in a large frying pan. If not, skip this step! 3. Add the pieces of bacon and cook for about 5-6 minutes or until cooked thoroughly.
Remove the bacon and place aside.5. With the pan still with that bacon fat/olive oil mixture (yum!), add in the kale.
Cook while occasionally stirring until kale is ready (when it’s bright green). 7. Add in your bacon and salt as desired.

I just made this last week myself, but I don't add olive oil, I just leave the bacon grease from the bacon frying in the pan and fry the kale right in that. Mmmmmm. I don't think you can't get too much bacon grease! One of my favorite veggie dishes.

That's true! Sometimes I don't add olive oil myself! I don't think I even added it this time around now that I think about it. I think it really depends on the bacon vs. amount of kale for me. Anyway, thanks for your comment! I'm going to add that olive oil is optional!
