I absolutely love easy side dish ideas. So here’s yet another easy peasy side dish recipe – this Oven Roasted Garlic Butter Green Beans recipe is tasty and super simple to make. They go well with steak, chicken, seafood, you name it!

Green Beans on the Paleo Diet

I wanted to mention this because I know a lot of you follow the paleo diet. The Paleo diet actually says “No Legumes” – however, Lots of paleo eaters actually eat Green Beans. Here’s an interesting article about how healthy Green Beans are. So I leave it to you, if you’re a paleo eater, if you want to eat green beans or not.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh green beans, ends trimmed
  • 2 Tablespoons melted butter
  • 3 cloves of Garlic, minced (~3 tsp minced garlic)
  • Sea salt and pepper, as desired

Instructions

Green Beans

Preheat oven to 450°F.

Place green beans in a large bowl. Add melted butter, salt, pepper, and minced garlic to bowl, and toss well.

Place green beans on baking sheet in a single layer.

Bake the green beans for 10 minutes. Remove from the oven.

You have two options here – you can remove all the green beans with tongs and re-toss. Or you can do the lazy version that I do which is using tongs, flip a tong-ful of green beans over until all of them have been flipped over.

Place back in oven for another 5-10 minutes or until desired amount of done-ness.

This oven roasted garlic butter green beans makes the perfect veggie side dish! Easy to make and delicious too!

How much garlic?

Hi there! Slightly depends on how much you like garlic, but I usually use 3 cloves of garlic (which is about 3 tsp of minced garlic) - I've updated the recipe with that info! Thanks!
