Smoothies! A great snack or breakfast. BUT NOT ALWAYS! Pay attention when buying store bought smoothies… sometimes they seem healthy, but really aren’t. Since the warm weather is here, which makes me crave smoothies, I’ve rounded up an awesome list of yummy healthy, vegan, and paleo smoothies!
Paleo vs. Vegan
These recipes below are all gluten free and dairy free. Both Paleo and Vegan diets do not allow dairy so it’s actually quite easy for a paleo smoothie to be vegan and vice versa.
The only thing to watch out is that honey is not technically vegan. While, some vegans will eat honey, some do not – so make sure that if you ever see a recipe you are trying to make vegan that uses honey, to sub it – maple syrup is usually a great substitute.
