How to make cabbage and bacon?
On to the recipe. You can pick what kind of cooking oil/fat of choice you’d like. I save up bacon grease at times, so sometimes I just use my bacon grease, other times I use butter, but you can also you olive oil or coconut oil for a healthier option.
Ingredients
- 1 head of cabbage, sliced or roughly chopped
- 2 slices bacon, chopped
- ½ cup onion
- 1 tbsp of cooking oil/fat of choice
- Salt and Pepper, as desired
Instructions
In a large cooking pan over medium high heat, add chopped bacon and allow to cook for about a minute, stirring occasionally.
Add onions to the pan and let it cook for about another minute, stirring occasionally.
Add cooking oil/fat and cabbage, and sauté for 10 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cabbage is tender and begins to brown.
Remove from heat and serve!
