It’s almost Memorial Day, which means grilling season! Nothing beats a grilled burger in the summer. These are one of my favorite burgers because they go with almost any topping and are packed full of flavor. The ranch mix can be made up ahead of time, which makes these easy to throw together and ready to grill in minutes. I use butter lettuce for the buns because the leaves are shaped like little cups and are perfect for loading with onions, tomato, mayo, avocado before putting your burger on top.
The recipe is written for 8 burgers (usually a lb of meat makes 4 burgers), but you can easily adjust it to more or less. Just use 2 tablespoons of your ranch seasoning for each pound of ground beef. You can make these for yourself for dinner or feed all of your friends!
Ingredients
- 2 lbs ground beef, 90%
- 4 tablespoons ranch seasoning (see below for what this is)
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Toppings of choice
- Ranch seasoning:
- 2 tablespoons dried chives
- 2 tablespoons dried parsley
- 2 tablespoons onion powder
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon dried dill
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 tablespoon pepper
Directions
Mix up the ranch seasoning in a jar or reusable container.
Combine ground beef, egg, 2 tablespoons of your ranch seasoning and salt into a large bowl. Use your hands to mix everything thoroughly.
Shape ground beef into patties, using about ¼ lb. of meat for each burger.
Preheat your grill, pan or cooktop. Once hot, put your burgers on, leaving just enough room to flip them.
Cook burgers for 4-5 minutes on each side, or longer if you prefer them more done.
After 3 minutes, place cheese on top if you want a cheeseburger.
Let the burgers rest for a few minutes and get your toppings ready.
Assemble burgers and eat! These are so filling, you don’t need sides.
If you want even more flavor, you can make a ranch sauce to go on top. Combine ¼ cup keto friendly mayo, 2 tablespoons heavy cream, and 1-2 tablespoons of ranch seasoning. Enjoy!

Yum! Just in time for grilling season. I might have to try your suggestion of the ranch sauce on top. You can't have too much ranch, right?
